Is There a Best Time of Year for Health Care Marketers To Advertise?

While it may seem like any time of year is a good time to spread the word about your health care system, the open enrollment period under the Affordable Care Act presents a particularly prime opportunity.

This is a time of year when even people in good health have reason to pay extra attention to their medical needs and coverage. Additionally, providers may want to urge consumers to make sure they chose insurance that covers the providers’ services.

Mercy Health Physician Partners is the physician network of a health care system with 804 licensed beds on four campuses in western Michigan that has decided to take full advantage of this special season for health care marketing. Michelle Quinn, Regional Director of Marketing, believes that mid-November through mid-December “is the most important time for the Mercy Health Physician Partners brand to be in the marketplace.”
