Stronger Together, Part 2: Arkansas Children’s Builds on Its Momentum Through the Golisano Children’s Alliance
A major philanthropic investment helps Arkansas Children’s expand access, extend its reach across a largely rural state, and rethink what is possible for pediatric care.

At Arkansas Children’s, plans were already in motion. A systemwide expansion, a new strategic plan, and a growing focus on research, access, and community partnerships had positioned the organization for its next phase.
That momentum accelerated with a call from Tom Golisano, a long-time supporter of pediatric care who is creating the Golisano Children’s Alliance, a growing network of children’s hospitals working together to expand access, share expertise, and advance innovation.
This two-part series explores how members of the Golisano Children’s Alliance turn a shared vision into strategy, brand, and growth.
Part 1 introduced the Alliance and examined how the University of Maryland uses the affiliation to elevate its pediatric presence within an academic medical system.
In Part 2, the focus shifts to Arkansas Children’s. Serving families across a predominantly rural state, the organization uses a $50 million philanthropic investment to broaden access, sharpen its brand, and build on the work already in play.
Read on to see how Tom Golisano helps reshape pediatric care, and how Arkansas Children’s advances that shared mission.
