SHSMD23 Connections: Be the Change Your Organization Needs
Connect with the community shaping the future of health care.

Each fall, the SHSMD Annual Conference brings together the best and brightest in our industry — from seasoned veterans to tomorrow’s leaders — for three days of sharing, growing, and learning together. This year, the health care strategy and marketing community will convene in Chicago from September 10-12 at SHSMD23 Connections.
The conference is an opportunity to look at the big picture, which can sometimes be eclipsed in our day-to-day remote-work world. Conference planning co-chair Lisa Crockett, vice president of system strategy & planning at Providence St. Joseph Health, notes, “It’s so easy to become heads-down focused on our daily work and priorities on our to-do lists.”
But, she adds, “the annual SHSMD Connections conference provides the perfect opportunity each year to pick my head up to look across the health care landscape and receive an infusion of new ideas to recharge my work.”
If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s that health care is in a state of constant change and there’s an ongoing need to get ahead and stay ahead of the curve. When we learn from one another, we grow professionally and help our organizations succeed.
Ryan Younger, vice president of marketing at Virtua Health and conference planning co-chair, says, “I strongly believe in lifelong learning. Whether it’s your first SHSMD Conference or you’re a senior executive, this is a valuable experience for all attendees.”
Wherever you are on your health care leadership journey, the infusion of new ideas you’ll take away from this conference could fuel the breakthrough strategies your organization needs, and give you the tools to advance new opportunities as well as your own career.
